About the store
Hi, I’m Angela — also known as The Math Alchemist! ✨ For over 18 years, I’ve taught math in the classroom, and for more than 34 years I’ve worked as a tutor, helping students of all ages discover that math isn’t just numbers on a page — it’s the language of the universe. I specialize in turning frustration into confidence by breaking concepts down in ways that are clear, creative, and even a little magical. I’ve worked with students in public schools, private schools, virtual classrooms, and homeschool settings, which means I know how to adapt resources to fit different needs. My goal is to help kids build not only strong math skills, but also the mindset that they can figure things out. Here, you’ll find resources that blend solid math instruction with creativity and engagement — from Number Talks that spark conversations to Pixel Art activities that make practice fun. Everything I create is designed to help students see math as something they can explore, play with, and ultimately master. When I’m not teaching or creating, I’m usually diving into patterns, puzzles, and the hidden connections that make learning exciting. Math is my passion, but helping students unlock their potential is my true calling. 💜

Teaching style

My teaching style is creative, engaging, and highly adaptable. I believe math should feel less like a chore and more like a discovery. I use a mix of visuals, conversations, and hands-on activities to help students connect abstract concepts to real-world patterns. I meet students where they are, whether they need step-by-step guidance, enrichment challenges, or confidence-building support. I balance structure with flexibility, always encouraging curiosity and independent thinking. Above all, I aim to make math approachable, memorable, and even fun — turning “I can’t” into “I get it!” one lesson at a time.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Throughout my teaching career, I’ve been honored with awards that reflect both my passion for math and my commitment to my students. Some of these include: 🏆 Carpe Diem Award – for seizing opportunities to bring creativity and innovation into the classroom. 🏆 Teacher of the Year Award – a recognition of dedication, leadership, and the impact I’ve had on my school community. 🏆 District Number Talks Award – for making math conversations meaningful and engaging for all learners. 🏆 Family Engagement Award – for building strong connections between home and school to support student success. 🏆 Communication Award – for fostering open, clear, and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues. While I’m deeply grateful for these recognitions, my brightest “awards” are still the ones no trophy can capture — the look on a student’s face when math finally clicks, or the moment a parent shares that their child now sees themselves as “good at math.” Those are the moments I treasure most. 💜

My own education history

I’ve always believed that learning is a lifelong journey — and I’ve poured my heart into both formal education and personal growth along the way. 🎓 Associate’s Degree in Mathematics – where my love for numbers first took root. 🎓 Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education (P-6) – preparing me to guide young learners with patience and creativity. 🎓 Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction with a Specialization in Literacy – helping me design lessons that are not only clear but also engaging across all subjects. ✨ Special Certifications in Spiritual Teachings – because I believe true learning blends logic, intuition, and inspiration. ✨ 1,500+ Hours in Mathematical Mindset Training – sharpening my ability to help students shift from “I can’t” to “I can.” My education is both traditional and unconventional, blending mathematics, literacy, and spiritual insight. Together, these pieces allow me to teach math not only as a subject — but as a powerful language of patterns, creativity, and possibility.

Additional biographical information

Beyond the classroom, I see myself as a lifelong learner and creator. My curiosity has led me to explore everything from Minecraft coding and digital art with Procreate to drawing techniques and creative design. I believe creativity fuels problem-solving — and that spills directly into the way I teach math. I’m also a certified nutrition consultant and an entrepreneur at heart, which means I’m constantly exploring how patterns — whether in numbers, health, or business — shape the way we live and learn. When I’m not working with students or designing new resources, you can usually find me exploring sacred geometry, uncovering hidden patterns, or diving into new ways to blend math with art, creativity, and personal growth. One of my guiding truths has always been: “I love to learn in order that I might teach.” That philosophy continues to drive everything I create for my students and my store.
