The Math Huddle

Breakouts are an exciting way to engage your students in an escape room type of atmosphere! This particular breakout requires 2 locks (5-Letter and 4-Number Combinations) and 2 lock boxes (I buy plastic toolboxes at Wal-Mart) The concepts and skills practiced in this activity are as follows: Fractions and DecimalsRational vs Irrational NumbersClassifying Real NumbersComparing and Ordering Rational NumbersSquares and Square RootsScientific Notation

This activity includes 4 different bingo boards. Students will work individually or in partners or groups to solve proportions and fill in their bingo boards with those answers. Once the class is finished, you finish the activity with bingo!

This worksheet is designed to guide students through individual practice after being introduced to solving one-step equations. The worksheet provides the students with small steps to solve including, Identifying the operation involved, and then the opposite operation. After those are identified, the students can solve for the variable and then substitute back in and check their work. This activity is great for an after notes activity, remediation purposes, or re-teach opportunities to provide
