This is a fun maze activity for students to practice solving for area of rectangles and triangles. To complete the maze, students begin at the top left hand corner. As students solve each question, they will follow the path that corresponds with their answer. ***Students should go to all, but one of boxes!

M & M ActivityThis activity can be done independently, in partners, or small groups depending on your class and the supplies you have available. Materials Needed: Individual packs of M & Ms OR A large bag of M & Ms to divide up amongst your students Directions: Each student/group will need a pack of M & Ms. They will sort their candies by color and tally the total for each. This information will go in the table provided. In part 2, students will write a ratio for each scenario based on the table
Planet Research ProjectThis research project can be done individually or in groups. Each student/group should be assigned a planet in the solar system. Students should use a textbook/website/article/etc. to research their assigned planet.
