Common Core Math Stations and Games - Word and Symbol Sort
This is an ideal activity for activating prior knowledge at the beginning of the school year. Students sort words and symbols which indicate the four basic operations. This can be done individually or in stations. It is a great way to review the types of words students will see in story problems. I have included instructions for you, printable station directions for your students, and an answer key.
