I am a teacher with 17 years of experience between 2nd and 5th grade, but my heart is in 3rd grade.
Teaching style
My specialty is finding big ideas that connect reading to science and social studies and then weaving them together for students to explore through reading and writing. My projects are relevant, rigorous, and fun without the "fluff".
My own education history
I have my B.S. in Elementary Education from Erskine College and my M.Ed in Reading from Shippensburg University.
Additional biographical information
My husband and son support me in all that I do, including my hobbies: reading, napping, gamin, sipping coffee, discovering delicious cafes, hiking, drawing, and admiring beautiful trees.
