The New Normal

This cross curricular hands on project is sure to engage all students. Appropriate for middle school students but can be adapted for younger or older students. Students transform a cardboard box into well designed home with a landscaped yard using everyday materials (no food items). Connecting math, language arts, technology, social studies, art and phys ed this project has it all.

This is one of my favorite forms to send home during the first week of school. It simply asks parents to tell you about their child. It opens up the lines of communications and allows the parent to share with you all the wonderful talents and strengths of their child as well as some fears or anxieties they may have.
