These 6 activities can be used during the first week of school to get to know students and their ideas and attitudes about math. Some activities are intended to be done individually and others can be done with a partner or small group. Each fun and engaging activity allows for students of differing abilities to contribute to the completion of the activity at their own level.
A set of 5 interactive division problems in which students fill in the blanks about people and/or items they want to include in the word problem. Problems involve double or triple digit dividends and single digit divisors. QR codes are included displaying answers.
This math game can be played as a whole class or with a partner. It's scope of play lends itself well to individual differentiation because of the use of all four operations. Students love the challenge of trying to eliminate all thirty numbers and review addition, subtraction, multiplication and division at the same time. A great 10 minute warm up or end of class activity.
Students need fun and engaging ways to practice multiplication facts and build automaticity. These package of 5 games are perfect for math centers or home practice. Each game simply needs everyday items such as dice, playing cards or counters. Print, laminate and you will be set for a year of fun.
Engage students with a game of Who Has and practice multiplication automaticity at the same time. This set of 24 question cards practice facts up to 12 x 12.
