The Nomadic Classroom

The Nomadic Classroom offers rigorous and effective curriculum and resources for grades 5-12 specializing in scaffolding and differentiating for multilingual learners, intervention, general education, and gifted students. We have coached and mentored educators on classroom management techniques, utilizing accommodations and supports in the mainstream classroom, and how to effectively connect and build relationships with students. We have a combined 25 years of experience in education.

We like to utilize as many modalities as possible, with a particular emphasis on visual, interpersonal, auditory, and kinesthetic approaches. We encourage kindness, respect, and self-advocacy in all aspects of our students' education. We value the unique qualities and interests of our students and provide as many pathways as possible to facilitate their learning through those aspects. We encourage questions. We strive to assist our students in becoming empathetic and analytical participants of their communities.

Jacki is the heart and mind of TNC. She has a bachelors in anthropology with a minor in English and a masters degree in teaching grades 6-12. She has specialized in teaching English Language Arts and English Language Development (ESL/EFL/EAL) since 2011. She has been the head of her department since 2023, has presented at a state conference, attended multiple TESOL, CABE, and Learning Forward conferences, and regularly coaches up other teaching staff in regards to instructional strategies, curriculum development, and supports for multilingual students. She has taught in Texas, South Korea, Colorado, and California. Nichole is the caretaker of TNC dreams, always finding ways to bring them to fruition. She has a bachelors in English and has specialized in the teaching of that subject from 2010 to 2022. During that time she expertly took on the roles of classroom teacher, new teacher mentor, head of department, curriculum coordinator, school literacy leader, and district literacy instructional coach. She is based in Colorado.
