Experience

My name is Ander Orueta. I’m a secondary Physical Education teacher based in Dublin, Ireland. You’ll find clear coaching cues, success criteria, and fast formative assessments so students improve quickly and teachers save planning time. I specialize in volleyball (forearm pass/dig, setting, modified games), fitness circuits, and inclusive activities that work in small gym spaces. Teaching style

I keep lessons dynamic and fun while building core fundamentals. My approach is game-based and constraints-led: small-sided games, tight rules, and short rounds create tons of high-quality reps with immediate feedback. Students move constantly (minimal wait time) and work on basics like flat platform, straight elbows, slight knee bend, leg drive, angle to target. Every activity includes clear success criteria, quick checks (1–3 scale), and progressions so mixed-ability classes stay engaged and successful. The goal: high energy + solid fundamentals, every class.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Highlights include leading a high-participation Sports Day at MPETSS and running volleyball mini-tournaments that boosted confidence and skill for all learners. I’m proudest when simple cues and small-sided games make fundamentals “click.” More highlights on my LinkedIn - Ander Orueta Aparicio.

My own education history

Secondary Physical Education teacher with experience in Ireland and Spain . Ongoing PD in SHAPE standards, assessment for learning, and inclusive PE. I design resources that adapt to Grades 6–12, different facilities, and varied class sizes.

Additional biographical information
