A power point review of the STAAR Exam that we use to show the students what to expect. It is broken down into the four categories and even shows how many of each to expect on the exam. This is a power point that you can modify anyway you feel fit. Make it your own. This will just save you some time.I am offering a student blank handout for free to go with this power point.

Some things a student just needs to know by looking at them. Flash cards allow for quick study. I use them either at the beginning of class or at the end. Here are 66 cards to help you and your class review most of the things covered in the 8th grade STAAR test. Just download the file, print them 2 sided on tag board, laminate and have fun reviewing with the kids. Play around the world or another kind of competition.

Just a quick power point lesson to cover simple and compound interest. You can change the font colors and add examples. Make any modifications as you see fit.

A visual step by step poster to help students to find the Mean Absolute Deviation.

A nice way to lead a class discussion about the angles created by parallel lines cut by a transversal.

A quick reference to using Pythagorean Theorem. Because we use calculators I show the students to identify which side is "C". If they give you C then subtract, if they don't then you add as in the example. Also we discuss whether they want the side or the area . "To square or not to square". It helps to keep things simple.

My room is filled with quick reference posters that help my kids succeed. Feel free to leave it like this or separate it into 4 posters. Make any changes you'd like.
