A nice way to lead a class discussion about the angles created by parallel lines cut by a transversal.

A quick reference to using Pythagorean Theorem. Because we use calculators I show the students to identify which side is "C". If they give you C then subtract, if they don't then you add as in the example. Also we discuss whether they want the side or the area . "To square or not to square". It helps to keep things simple.
