About the store
I attended college at Louisiana Tech University where I earned a BA in Biology and MAT in Secondary Science Education. I am also a fellow NOYCE STEM Scholar and researched under Dr. Basinger at LA Tech Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Leadership. I have formally presented at numerous educational conferences found HERE under Constance DeLaney (NSF, NOYCE, MAT) on behalf of LA Tech University. The research I conducted was focused on technology integration in the secondary classroom. Presentation example can be found at http://latechnoyce.weebly.com I was recruited by a STEM Director in Florida to teach in the Sunshine State at one of the conferences. I have been teaching for 6 years and have been rated "highly effective" every year. I have maintained a 100% Biology EOC pass rate throughout my entire career and am a 2012 LA School Teacher of the Year for Arcadia High School. I taught STEM Biology, Environmental Science, and New Tech Remedial Science in Louisiana for two years, Advanced Biology in Florida for one year, and am currently teaching IB STEM Biology in Tampa, FL. My current research focuses on STEM Biology curriculum development heavily influenced by problem solving via EDP, collaboration with industry, CAD, 3D printing, and sharing PBL with others. I train HCPS teachers concerning Best Practices for using EDP accompanied with CAD and 3D printing and founded the Robotics Club at my school. I have also won over $7,000 in technology grants for my current school.
