About the store
If you have struggling students, you have found the right store. As a special education teacher, I love to help teacher figure out the best way to help their students grow and learn. The best part? Many of my resources are designed to help your students master new skills, while you save time. In my fourteen years of experience, I've taught a little bit of everything! During my first year of teaching, I taught kindergarten through third grade special education. I absolutely loved every minute of it, and saw myself in this setting for many years to come. Due to a difficult and academically low group of students, I moved to upper elementary to follow my third grade students from the prior year. Initially, I wondered if I was suited to teach upper elementary. I soon learned that I loved it just as much. During my second year, I taught fourth and fifth grade special education. I loved my school, principal, students, and fellow teachers, but my daughter was beginning kindergarten at another school. When I had the opportunity to switch school districts to be with my daughter, I did. I began teaching fifth grade general education in a school that departmentalizes. I had the privilege of focusing only on math, science, and social studies. The following year, I pulled double duty! I taught fifth grade general education AND serviced our students with disabilities in kindergarten through fifth grade. It was quite a challenge, but I absolutely loved it. Now, I am back in the primary grades and can feel like the store name The Primary Gal is a fit again! I am doing special education with our little ones at my school.

Does the thought of progress monitoring IEP goals for sight words overwhelm you? It can be time-consuming, but it doesn’t have to be anymore. Asking students to read LOOOONG lists of sight words will take you forever to progress monitor. Whether you love Dolch or Fry Sight words, the lists are lengthy. All of that being said, we know that many of our students have IEP goals that target their ability to read high frequency words. How can you progress monitor them quickly? My solution i
