The Proverbs 31 Classroom

I’m a certified K–6 teacher with additional certifications in 5–8 ELA and Special Education. Over the years, I’ve taught everything from phonics to middle school literature, giving me a deep understanding of how students grow as readers and writers. I’ve also been trained in multiple phonics and literacy programs, including Orton Gillingham, and have experience supporting struggling readers at every level.

My teaching style is rooted in high expectations, faith, and compassion. I believe students thrive when lessons meet them where they are while also inspiring them to grow. In my classroom, literacy instruction is both structured and creative — blending direct instruction with engaging, real-world connections. I design resources that are practical for teachers and parents, but also meaningful for students: building skills and character through faith-filled learning.
