Constructing and Reading Tally Charts Organizer Math Center
This organizer will help students organize, display, and interpret data by constructing and reading a tally chart. Have students work collaboratively in groups to determine a question and then have them poll their classmates. Then students interpret the data collected using math vocabulary. Or, place the organizer in the math center and students can individually or with a partner collect data.

Print and laminate the tags and place on your math manipulative bins. I have a variety of manipulatives in baskets for students and ask them "Which tool will you choose to solve the problem?"
