About the store
Welcome to The Robo Lab! After 14 years of teaching Math and Science, I made the jump to the Robotics lab—and I’ve never looked back. While I hold my Principal’s License and spent years preparing for administration, the joy I found once I stepped into the world of VEX IQ and V5 changed my entire career path. I realized that my heart belongs in the lab, watching students solve problems and seeing their designs come to life. However, the transition wasn't easy. Year 1 was a whirlwind. I walked into a room overflowing with thousands of VEX pins, sensors, and gears with almost no formal training. I was overwhelmed by the 'stuff' and spent my first year just trying to organize the chaos and figure out what a 'sensor' actually did. I started creating these resources because I needed tools that didn't exist: simple, highly visual, and classroom-tested guides that help students (and teachers!) manage the technical side of robotics without the stress. Now in Year 2, I am dedicated to helping other robotics teachers—especially those who are 'thrown into the deep end' like I was—turn their lab into a professional, organized, and fun engineering space. Everything in this store is tested daily in my own 6th (Design & Modeling), 7th (Intro to Robotics), and 8th-grade (Automation and Robotics) classroom. Thanks for supporting a fellow teacher who chose the lab over the office! Happy building!"

Teaching style

My style is 'Hands-On Engineering.' I focus on making technical VEX concepts accessible and organized so students can spend more time building and less time feeling overwhelmed by the parts bin.
