About the store
I have been working in Special Education and with people with all abilities and ages for almost a decade. My journey started as a Recreation Leader for kids and teens with a variety of disabilities, where I helped foster social skills. Soon after, I went into Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), assisting children and parents with behavioral supports and interventions. I transitioned into the special education classroom at a non public school as a Teacher’s Assistant, while working on my credential and Master's degree. Once obtained, I took on the role as Special Education Teacher in a K-5 Special Day Class. Mindfulness practices, as well as self- regulation were areas of focus while working on my Master’s degree. I implement these practices and philosophies in my classroom on a daily basis, to promote wellness and a positive growth mindset.
