This bundle includes 13 Rock Cycle Fill-In worksheets with varying difficulties. Each worksheet is slightly different. They are perfect for the differentiated classroom. For example, some have word banks while others don't. Some only have a few blanks while others are mostly empty. These worksheets are designed to be used with multiple grade levels, ages, and abilities. Or you can scaffold the worksheets and hand them out to students as their skills grow. There is also an answer key provided.

Albert Einstein once said that "Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think." I believe that my students may not ever have to identify the minerals in an igneous rock again, but I know they will have plenty of life problems to solve, That's why I created and proudly display this poster in my room. The poster measures 8.5" X 44" and can be printed on 4 regular sheets of paper. I laminated mine before putting it across the top of my bulletin board. Enjoy

Here is a great new spin on learning the rock cycle. This tool allows teachers and students to choose which processes to apply to a any rock...melting, weathering, heat and /or pressure...and then to see what happens next. When you click on one of the process buttons, the slide automatically advances to the proper location. This will show the students which processes are possible and which are not. This is an easy lab to get your students to discover and draw invisible magnetic field lines around a typical bar magnet. All you need is a magnet and a compass.

Here is a great little lab that uses the concept of a controlled experiment to tackle the age old question, "What heats up faster, light or dark-colored objects?" This lab required very little materials and can be done in as little as a day.
