They can be used in a variety of ways: -in your everyday math journals/notebooks -as homework with a parent -in guided math groups These are different to my other math notebook products as they require students to solely explain their thinking and create answers that (for the most part) have many possible answers. Teaching style
I believe organization is key! I am firm but loving and strive to meet children where they are at (differentiation is a must). I believe in learning through play and guiding pupils to explore for themselves.
I believe independent practice should be completed into notebooks
.....never meaningless worksheets that end up in the garbage hours later.
I am a big kid at heart and enjoy pouring enthusiasm into my lessons.
Awards & shining teacher moments
I will never forget my parent teacher conferences at the English language school I worked at in Melbourne, Australia. My families were refugees and immigrants, many who came from horrific experiences. That said the English I taught their children was a gift and would be the key to their future. Their gratitude was the most humbling and rewarding experience I've had.
