About the store

Experience

I have been teaching 6th Grade High Ability and General Education students for almost 5 years now. I have taught Math and Science, with a passion for leading others. I've grown to enjoy creating my own activities and projects so it's time to share them. I love to challenge my students through engaging activities and seeing their creativity through unique challenges.

Teaching style

My teaching style is a mix between a delegator, facilitator, demonstrator. I teach through whole-group instruction at times, but mainly collaboration in groups, I mix in time to work individually as well as work to complete real-world projects. My personality wants me to be in control always, but I give students the opportunity to make choices and 'lead' the class. I am a big believer in getting students walking around or doing something that isn't a worksheet all the time.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Graduated college with honors.

My own education history

I graduated from Ball State University and continued my education with Ball State to earn a Gifted and Talented certificate. I have also completed Six Standards Training through the district I work for.

Additional biographical information

I love what I do! Part of what I love to do is plan and create activities that are engaging, but meets standards as well as other classroom tools to keep myself (and others!) organized.
