The Stellar Educator was created by Katie, a passionate educator with over 15 years of experience teaching 8th grade science. Katie understands that with all the demands of testing and other subjects, science often gets pushed to the side. Her mission is to provide teachers with engaging, ready-to-use resources that save time while still delivering high-quality, meaningful instruction.
With a master’s degree in physics education from Rutgers University and years in the classroom, Katie brings her expertise to every resource she creates. Her materials are designed to spark curiosity, build critical thinking skills, and help students truly understand the world around them.

In this lab, students relate the amount of work done and the amount of potential energy a system has due to that work. In addition, it allows students to practice calculating potential energy and looking at the relationship between potential energy, mass, and height.
