About the store

I have taught honors, standard, and remedial science for years. Everything from Earth and Environmental, Biology, and Physical Science, to Introduction to Engineering. All of my time has shaped my teaching into very project driven and focused. What I see my students get out of well designed projects does not compete with the normal "sit and get" style teaching.

In this assignment students complete research on a modern marvel in the United States to gather facts about the structure. Students gather interesting facts and then create flyer about there structure. This project helps students learn that all structures have a story, basic architecture facts, and how to do simple quick research on something. A great intro project for students learning about structures.

My own education history

I grew up in a small town in Western North Carolina. I graduated top of my class and went to college ready to take on the world. After my first year and being ready to drop out from not being at all as prepared as I thought I was I made it my mission to prepare others. I am now a high school teacher in the same small town that I grew up in, creating my own teaching style and preparing students.
