Teaching style

My teaching style is all about keeping things clear, consistent, and full of heart. I believe students thrive when they know what to expect, feel safe to take risks, and have opportunities to move, talk, explore, and truly own their learning. I use hands on activities, student talk, and visuals to keep lessons engaging without feeling overwhelming. I love starting with a simple routine, adding a touch of creativity, and watching my students light up when they realize, “Hey, I can do this.” In my classroom, learning is not about memorizing information. It is about thinking, questioning, problem solving, and making real world connections. Whether we are working through a science concept, exploring history, or building foundational skills, I focus on helping students build confidence and understanding that lasts. I also believe in giving students time to reflect, move, and engage in meaningful ways so learning truly sticks. Above all, I believe in creating a classroom where every student feels seen, supported, and capable. That is where the real magic happens. ✨

My own education history

I hold a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and have proudly taught grades 4 through 6 for the past 30 years. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with students from all walks of life, always focused on helping them feel confident, capable, and excited to learn! My experience has taught me what works (and what doesn’t) when it comes to engaging upper elementary/middle school students. Every resource I create is backed by classroom-tested strategies, a deep love for teaching, and nearly three decades of learning alongside my students.
