About the store
I am a middle school educator with over 10 years of classroom experience teaching grades 6–8. My primary focus has been English Language Arts and science, with extensive experience teaching reading comprehension, vocabulary development, research skills, and analytical writing aligned to the Virginia Standards of Learning. Throughout my career, I have worked with diverse learners in both general education and intervention settings. I regularly design targeted instructional materials to support struggling readers, accelerate progress for advanced students, and provide meaningful practice for whole-class instruction. In addition to classroom teaching, I have developed assessments, remediation materials, and differentiated resources to help students prepare for high-stakes assessments. My materials emphasize clear structure, engaging topics, and skills that students can apply across subjects. All resources in my store are classroom-tested, student-centered, and designed to save teachers time while maintaining rigorous instruction.

Teaching style

My teaching style centers on clarity, engagement, and purposeful practice. I believe students learn best when lessons balance direct instruction with meaningful application. In my classroom, I focus on: Building strong vocabulary and academic language Teaching students how to analyze texts and think critically Using structured practice that gradually builds independence Connecting reading and writing to real-world topics Providing clear scaffolds that support all learners I design materials that help teachers move efficiently between instruction, guided practice, and independent application while keeping students actively involved in the learning process.
