Speech to Text Strategies to Print

I like to tell the students to use their "teacher" voices when using their speech-to-text tool. Their voice needs to be clear, strong, and bossy. They love that. If they want more direct instructions to help cope with their speech impediments and the microphone, this is a great resource to review. 5 copies to a page to save paper. This resource is SLP-approved and recommended 2026.

This Google Sheet template is my go to for class documentation. When students work on a new skills that is listed mark how far they can go mastering that skill and a few comments to go with it. Columns are available for September, January, and May/June! I use this template to write quality comments about technology in student IEPs and reports.

Here is your most recent Google read & write toolbar May 2025. The two tools with purple neon drip are unique because they only show up when doing a web search versus an open Google Doc. Excellent learning visual to post on your classroom wall. Please consider how much time went into creating this, and do not share the digital file. Help out a fellow educator and pay for your copy if you can. Thank you! Created in canva uploaded as a PDF. Prints best as 8 x 11.5 or larger. Works well with lab

Great for star of the day or celebrations. When teaching remotely, I used this for our Kindergarten Star of the Day program. Now it's used as a presentation for distributing certificates and it's on our school's front TV screen to introduce staff and who is in the building.

About the store

Experience

15 years as an Early Childhood Educator. 3 years as an Assistive Technologist and Learning Strategist. Currently working on my Masters in disability studies with a focus on AT and a minor in LDCC.

Teaching style

I actively look for ways to make each individual student feel seen and understood by pulling on their interests and applying them in lessons. Trust, rapport, and understanding are the keys to collect before showing a student how to use their technology. Each user experience is super personal when using their technology.

Additional biographical information

Travelling, sushi, cats, and any individual sport piques my interest. Unfortunately, ECE and AT are not paying livable wages in Ontario so my dreams of a hobby farm are way beyond reach.
