About the store
Hi! I’m Nicole 👋 I work in K–12 education in a Technology Services department, where I support systems, data, and the behind-the-scenes tools that keep schools running smoothly. Before transitioning into tech, I also spent several years in Human Resources within the school district—so I understand both the instructional and operational sides of education. I created The Techretary because I saw a gap. Teachers and school staff are often expected to manage: data organization communication and classroom systems …but are rarely given tools that are: ✔ affordable ✔ easy to use ✔ and actually built for their day-to-day reality So I started building my own. ?What Makes These Resources Different? Unlike traditional resources, many of my products are: Interactive dashboards Google Workspace-based tools Simple web apps powered by Google Apps Script These are designed to help you: Save time Stay organized Reduce repetitive tasks Bring a little fun back into your classroom systems 🔐 Student Data Privacy Matters As someone who works in educational technology, I take student data privacy seriously. That’s why my tools are designed to: Run within your own Google account Avoid third-party data sharing Keep your information under your control 👉 No subscriptions 👉 No external logins 👉 No unnecessary data collection Just simple, functional tools that work where you already are. 💛 My Mission I believe every teacher deserves access to high-quality, functional tools—without spending hundreds of dollars or navigating complicated systems. That’s why I keep my resources: Affordable Practical Ready to use Because your time matters—and so does your budget.

Teaching style

🧑‍🏫 Teaching Style Even though I now work in a K–12 Technology Services role, my approach is always grounded in supporting real classroom needs. I believe in: Simple, effective systems over complicated processes Tools that work with teachers, not against them Creating structure so teachers can focus more on students—not paperwork My style is very much about efficiency with purpose. Whether it's organizing data, managing tasks, or building classroom systems, I focus on solutions that are: Easy to implement Sustainable long-term Actually helpful during a busy school day Many of the tools I create are inspired by what I’ve seen educators struggle with the most—especially when it comes to time, organization, and repetitive tasks.

Awards & shining teacher moments

🌟 Awards & Shining Teacher Moments While my role has evolved into technology and systems support, some of my proudest moments come from being part of a team that helps educators succeed behind the scenes. Highlights include: Supporting district-wide systems that impact thousands of students and staff Helping streamline processes so teachers can spend more time teaching and less time managing data Collaborating with educators to improve tools, workflows, and classroom efficiency For me, the “shining moments” aren’t always awards—they’re the moments when something finally works better for a teacher.

My own education history

🎓 My Own Education History My background is rooted in both Human Resources and K–12 education systems, which gives me a unique perspective on how schools operate from multiple angles. I’ve spent years working within a school district environment, gaining experience in: Personnel & HR processes Data systems and reporting Technology tools used in education I am also continuing my education in Human Resources, which strengthens my ability to design systems that are not only functional—but also practical and user-friendly.

Additional biographical information

I currently work in a K–12 school district in a Technology Services role, where I help manage systems, data, and tools that support both staff and students. I created this store because I saw firsthand how much teachers are expected to juggle—often without the right tools. So I started building my own. My goal is simple: 👉 Create affordable, functional tools that make everyday tasks easier A big part of my work is also centered around student data privacy. All of my tools are designed to run within your own Google Workspace environment—so you stay in control of your data. Outside of work, I’m passionate about helping others grow—whether that’s through my nonprofit work, creating resources, or building systems that make life just a little easier. If you’re looking for simple, affordable tools that actually work in a real classroom - you’re in the right place.
