About the store
Hi there! I began teaching in 2003 and haven’t stopped since! Most of my career has been spent in early childhood education, with a special love for preschool and the early primary grades. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats — teacher, director, librarian, and camp counselor for children with special needs and each experience has shaped my creative approach to teaching. I’ve had the joy of working in both private and public schools and have managed a few pretty awesome preschools along the way. I hold a Master’s in Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies, with a specialization in the Spanish language. Every resource I design for The Toolbelt Classroom reflects those experiences — hands-on, inclusive, and full of heart.

Teaching style

My teaching style blends project-based learning with structured activities that build foundational skills. I believe both approaches are essential for helping children grow. Every activity I design is intrinsic, differentiated, and sensory-based and always sprinkled with a touch of humor and fun!

Additional biographical information

I’m a teacher, creator, and mom to two amazing girls, one in high school and one in college, plus a golden retriever who’s my best buddy and a cat who’s convinced he’s a prince. When I’m not designing lessons, I’m probably at a softball field, watching a movie with my daughters, or on my Peloton to balance out my baking habit!
