This is the unit that I used to teach my grade 5 students about Structures and Mechanisms. The unit includes notes and homework to understand the notes.

Are your students struggling with long division, and remembering the steps? Mine were so I created a sheet that has all the steps that you can work through as a class. Students can work along with you as you complete the question on the sheet, and create a colour-code that they will remember. The letter for each step is in a nice bubble letter that they can colour in to match the colour that they do that step in. This can stay in students math binders or workbooks so they have a quick reference

This goes along with the Science Unit on Matter, these are the experiments that go along with the note package. This includes all the worksheets with space for the students to fill in and become comfortable with the various parts of the process of experiments from generating a hypothesis to following a procedure and sharing their conclusions.

My students didn't work well with traditional spelling so we turned it into a game. Now each week we go over the list words that we have and what makes them relate to each other, then they take home our Spelling Connect 3 game to complete one activity each night until it is due. If they complete this for three weeks in a row, they can choose a reward from our class treasure chest.
