The Virtually Simple Classroom

An editable word file that allows for 3 repeating readings of a fluency passage. Students can keep track of either the WPM or seconds that it took them to read the passage as well as the words they read correctly, and their mistakes. There is room to track 4 passages on this page. I use this as part of intervention reading groups!

This is a student checklist for constructed response answers. Students need to provide an introduction, two pieces of evidence, an explanation of their evidence (or an inference) and a concluding sentence. This is a word document that can be edited to suit your needs.

This file is an editable Microsoft Word Document (.docx) that can be used to graph a student's progress with mastery of multiplication facts. I use it in conjection with a bi-weekly assessment of 36 facts up to 5x4, but it can be used with any number or difficulity of facts. The y-axis measures minutes/seconds it takes to complete the assessment, while the x-axis measures the date. The graph can be given to the student to fill out each time an assessment is given.

This template can be used with ANY book. Students choose a character and use evidence from the text to write about a character trait.

An editable Word Documnet (.docx) that explains current concepts to parents and encourages them to practice at home. Document is linked to www.kidport.com so that students can practice current concepts worked on in small group instruction. Provides a link between the interventionist and the home.
