About the store

Experience

I have taught 3rd grade Math & Science for one year, and 2nd grade Math & Science for 4 years!

Teaching style

I am a very hands on teacher. I am a firm believer in introducing ideas and topics with my students, and then letting them experience them and form their own opinions and thoughts. In my classroom, we use the motto "I do, We do, You do!" a lot!

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have had the honor to help write algebra ready diagnostic assessments (ESTAR) for The Texas Education Agency, in collaboration with The Research in Mathematics Education unit at SMU for 2013 & 2014. I have the honor of being the team leader for my grade level at my school.

My own education history

I graduated from the University of North Texas in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization of EC-6th ESL Generalist. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a GPA of 3.971.

Additional biographical information

I enjoy reading and being crafty in addition to being a teacher :)
