Students can use this chart to continue to learn how adding/subtracting multiples of 10 work with larger numbers, up to 1000. Most students have used 100/200 charts before, so this is just a continuation of patterns on a 1000 chart.

Students will create a gumball machine using the stencils provided, and then use up to five different colored pom poms, stickers, or paper as their gumballs. I gave each of my students a total of 12 pom poms. The students are to find the fractional part of each color out of the whole set of gumballs. **As a fun bonus, I gave each of my students real bubble gum to chew on during this project!**
