Order of Operations
An anchor chart for Order of Operations and GEMDAS.
For many, PEMDAS is the popular acronym. However, I believe students should identify grouping symbols by their correct name.

Order of Operations
CUBES
Math involves reading comprehension. Encourage students to slow down and understand the context before they compute with numbers. In my school, we use CUBES, but we've edited the purpose of E in this acronym. Print out to post in the classroom or hang as a banner above your smart board as a reminder.
