About the store

I spent 10 years teaching in public schools. During this time, I taught 4th grade, 6th grade special education, and 7th grade math. Currently, I teach middle school math on Outschool. I offer individual tutoring, enrichment courses, and full curriculum courses for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math. I also offer Algebra I.

Experience

Teaching style

My favorite thing about teaching math is helping students to get actively involved in the process. I have always tried to incorporate as many lessons as possible that include movement and/or collaboration. Engagement is key in math and I feel that, by giving my students these opportunities, they learn math more thoroughly and in a way that helps them to enjoy the subject.
