About the store
As a Pre-Med Student at Chapman University, I received a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Molecular Biology. As I interned, I realized that my heart was not in the medical profession, but rather in teaching. I enrolled in the a teaching credential program at Cal State and excitedly received my Multiple Subject Matter with authorizations to teach Math & Science. I was hired to teach Math & Science at an incredible middle school, where I quickly took on the role of ASB advisor as well. With experience teaching at the Elementary level as well, I'm honored to represent many levels of education and have such a passion for learning!

Quick Review: Rules/Methods of Adding, Subtracting, Mult. & Dividing Integers

Every year I spend COUNTLESS WEEKS establishing the basics of integer computation. We learn how to add, subtract, multiply and divide negative and positive whole numbers. We do so with number lines, integer chips, mental math "rules," raps, chants, word clues - you name it. And we ace it!!!! So why can students never remember the basics when we start adding in negative fractions and decimals? All of the sudden they are adding instead of subtracting, using multiplication sign rules with additio

Adding Integers with the Same Sign (3 Part Series) - 1.1

Great for virtual learning or in person learning! Can be displayed in google meet, on a smart board, or easily turned into an interactive experience like PearDeck. You can even film yourself teaching from these slides using programs like Screencastify! This lesson walks teacher and students through ADDING INTEGERS WITH THE SAME SIGN three ways: using NUMBER LINES, INTEGER CHIPS & MENTAL MATH. This is a 3-PART LESSON Series: PART ONE: Reviewing Integers & Number Lines; Learning how to add inte

Adding Integers: Quiz, Quiz Review & Reflection, & Retake

This is a full-circle approach to assessing Integer Addition! Students will take a short, informative google form self-grading quiz. They will then complete a Quiz Review & Reflection google slideshow, an independent self-paced activity to reflect on their score, correct missed problems, watch videos of correct solutions, or select an enrichment activity to take their knowledge to the next level. To make this fun, students pick Paths: The Polar Bear Path or the Penguin Path! The Polar Bear

Integer BINGO: Adding & Subtracting both Positive & Negative Whole Numbers

In this fun (no prep required!) Integer Bingo Game, students will review how to add and subtract both positive and negative whole numbers. Each question provides the answer with a worked out solution using a number line, integer chips, or "mental" math using absolute value. Teachers can show the answer when the teacher deems ready (after each problem if it is a review activity for a test, or at the end of the game to check winner game boards). Students only need a pencil and a piece of paper

Auto-Grading Quiz: Adding Integers (Google Form)

Tired of grading but still want to measure student knowledge? Me too! This self-grading google form assessment measures student mastery of inter addition (addition of integers with the same sign and different signs) using multiple methods: Inter chipsNumber linesMental MathThree of the 6 questions ask students to identify the proper way to show their work. The other 3 questions ask students to solve integer addition problems. Answer Key linked within Quiz. Great for digital learning and in-pers
