This the Chapter 1 assessment that I give with the Glencoe World History textbook. The main ideas are general to all texts. It addresses archaeology/anthropology, the Agricultural Revolution, the Neolithic Era, fire and the roles of men and women of the time. It is given in an independent school environment where class discussion has connected current events with the text. It contains three essay questions and three short answer questions.
