Great resource for higher level (high school) students who already have background knowledge of Shakespeare. Instead of a lecture on Shakespeare, students get to do some guided research of their own in order to gain a full understanding of the history of the play and time period. Students will watch videos and read articles regarding Shakespeare, Venice, the Ottoman Venetian War, and 16th century views on love and marriage. They will answer guided to questions to help their understanding.

Experience
I am about to start my 5th year teaching. I have taught 10th, 11th, and 12th grade English and Advanced Composition in the last 4 years.
Teaching style
Because I teach so many different levels, I think it's important to give students choices. I like my lessons to be hands on for students, something where they are actively involved, like a gallery walk, or a mini research project.
