20 years of teaching experience in the classroom and as a tutor-- I have experience from 4th grade up through seniors in high school and specialize in 4th - 6th grade language arts (reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, and spelling). My reading and writing activities are packed with critical thinking skills. My goal is to incorporate creative twists whenever possible to enhance student engagement and knowledge retention for a wide range of learning styles.

Students earn and pay money or classroom cash each week (or each day depending on the age of your students) based on their classroom behaviors and choices. Students “pay” the teacher money for repeated behavior corrections and can earn money for positive classroom choices. Teaching style

I rarely sit at my desk while students complete worksheets. One of my strengths is developing highly creative reading and writing assignments. I work with students to help them interact with learning materials on multiple levels, and they build a foundation of skills that really sticks.
