Educator, entrepreneur and songwriter, Megan Faux, has served as an outstanding educator for 21 years. She spent her first four years teaching second grade and a significant portion of her career serving as a Literacy & Instructional Coach. Now she is serving in a quasi-administrative capacity, as a Program and Instructional Facilitator.
While teaching second grade, Faux used a special method to teach multiplication. The skip counting method, which was featured on the front page of The Wave newspaper, allowed students to multiply and divide with ease. Faux is very passionate about the effectiveness of this method. In her spare time, Faux takes every opportunity to share this method with any individual who works with children. Faux is a graduate of UC Berkeley and a lifelong learner.
