Experience

I have more than twenty five years experience as an educator. I am a teacher-librarian at an international school in South East Asia. I have a BA in Education and a MSc in Information Studies (Library Science).

Teaching style

I have a very eclectic teaching style that has arisen over the years working in special needs, language immersion, and EFL environments. Students should be given plenty of opportunity to think and problem solve. I view the role of the teacher as more of a facilitator who guides students down a path toward knowledge. The best learning results in something being created; be it a piece of writing, an illustrative diagram, a short video or even a simple drawing.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I won a stuffed animal from one of those UFO catcher machines one time. Does that count?
