I started out in a self-contained 3rd grade classroom in 1993. It was there that I learned the value of discovery, inquiry based learning thematic learning.
From there, I moved in to the educational technology world for 15 years, teaching computer science classes for a couple years, then spending much of my time working with teachers designing curriculum using technology.
Fearing that I was becoming too out of touch with the classroom, I left the leadership role and went back in the classroom in 2016, teaching 6th grade Science. In 2018, I switched back over to teaching computer science.
