Thinking in Third Grade

Students will practice their multiplication story problems by reading Christmas themed problems. There are 12 problems. Students may use repeated addition, or use their multiplication skills to answer each problem. There is a template for students to show their work on as they complete each story problem.

In this document, students will review multiplication by finding three turkeys that mean the same by matching them by finding the multiplication sentence, repeated addition sentence, and the product. This would be a great center activity for students to review their understanding of multiplication. There will be 14 sets of 3. Facts that will be reviewed: 3 x4, 4 x 3, 5 x 2; 2 x 5; 6 x 5; 5 x 6; 5 x 3; 3 x 5; 4 x 2; 2x4; 3 x 6; 6 x 3; 8x4; 4x8

This activity contains 10 Christmas math problems for students to review math skills in subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions, and place value. A place for students to put answers is included. This activity would be perfect for third grade, and advanced second graders.

In this document you will receive 3 Easter Egg math or literacy worksheets. 1. Addition Eggs - Students will add the problems and color the eggs by colors if the answer is odd or even. 2. Nouns/Verbs- Students will color eggs by either a noun or verb. 3. Egg Book Report Form.- Students can read a nonfiction book report and write 4 facts in eggs.
