IREAD Basic Skills Practice: Test Like Format
This document includes 11 problems that deal with the skills of multiple meaning words. Students will read two sentences, and find a word that will complete BOTH sentences.
There is also a 10 problem sheet that works on identifying vowel sounds in words. Students will have to read the word on their own, and identify the underlined sound. Then, they will find the word that has the same vowel sound.

Close Reading, English Language Arts, Phonics & Phonological Awareness
Students will cut out Christmas 18 Christmas presents and read the words inside the gift. Students will recognize them by identifying them as synoyms or antonyms by gluing them under the correct Christmas tree.
Tacky the Penguins books are always a fun read for young students! This activity can be added to your math centers easily. This product has 8 addition/subtraction story problems. Students will cut out the igloos and penguins. Then, they will match each penguin to the correct igloo. There is an answer key provided for kids to check their own work.

Students will practice their multiplication story problems by reading Christmas themed problems. There are 12 problems. Students may use repeated addition, or use their multiplication skills to answer each problem. There is a template for students to show their work on as they complete each story problem.
Common or Proper Noun Thanksgiving Turkeys
This would be a great center activity for Thankgiviing time. Cut-out the common noun and proper noun turkey and the other small turkeys. Have kids sort the words by either common noun or proper noun.

In this document you will recieve 3 activites that you can easily use during Valetines.
1. Valetine Antonyms - Students will be matching words to make an antonym pair on a heart.
2. Odd and Even Numbers - Students will color hearts by odd and even numbers.
3. Synonym and Antonym Word Sort - Students will be given a T-Chart. Students will read each pair of words in the heart and decide if the words are antonyms or synonyms. They will glue the heart in the correct place on the chart.
Students will create a sweet poem about their mom. It will be 100% about them. They need to think of words that describe her. Then, come up with numbers that add up to 100 and use them in their poem.

This is a quick activity that you can put in a center or have kids cut and glue to practice putting words in abc order. All the words are from the story Tacky The Penguin. All the words also end in Y (that make the e sound.)
I added igloos just in case you make this a center activity. You can have the kids line the igloos up and put the penguins in order by placing the penguins inside the igloo. Or, you don't have to use the igloos at all.
