After trying to teach my students to compare two texts for Common Core writing, I created this classroom activity using our McGraw Hill Wonders reading series. This resource uses the stories that we read in Unit 2. I based the writing on the essential question for the week. Each week includes a venn diagram, writing work page, and a final publish page. As the year goes on, we can expand the activity to include more writing, but for now this is all my students were ready for!. However, this set o

This packet includes practice activities for locating and identifying the continents and oceans. It includes study maps, activity maps, songs, and task cards. This is a basic "learn the continents and oceans" unit. Look for a more detailed unit on each country to come later! I made this unit for use in my own classroom!
