Teaching style

My teaching style blends clarity, structure, and philosophical reflection. I believe every lesson should answer the question: “Why does this matter to the learner’s life?” I focus on creating accessible, meaningful learning experiences that build not just academic skills, but also self-awareness, empathy, and critical thinking.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Some of my proudest teaching moments include helping students with learning differences develop confidence in reading, leading transformative IEP meetings with families, and watching students light up when lessons connected to real life. While I value recognition, my greatest reward is seeing students thrive — especially those who’ve been overlooked by the system.

My own education history

I hold dual credentials in Special Education (mild/moderate) and General Education (elementary). My background includes years of experience in inclusive classrooms, curriculum development, and leadership roles in family engagement and differentiated instruction. I continue to study behavioral psychology, data strategy, and educational design to enhance my work.

Additional biographical information

I’m a lifelong learner, critical thinker, and former classroom teacher now using data strategy and educational insight to create impactful teaching tools. I believe education should serve both the mind and the human spirit — and my work is rooted in that philosophy. When I’m not creating, I’m usually surfing, traveling, or thinking deeply about how to make learning more meaningful.
