Third Grade Classroom Delights

Acknowledge the success of your students as they work through the Rocket Math Program. I use astro-bright paper and run off two copies. I give one to the student to take home and another to hang up in the hallway. It's a GREAT celebration point and a motivation for the other students in the classroom!

On level students have 20 words for their test each week. This two-sided template gives the students to label the test and allows them to easily record their words in an orderly fashion.

For 1-4th grade students beginning to understand the concept of Place Value can be challenging. I use the concept of a "Place" where you live as a house and show the numbers that "live" inside the house. Place Value is foundational to Rounding, Estimating, an Number Understanding. This colorful poster will make this abstract concept a "foundation" for young minds.
