This document provides a weekly review of important concepts covered by NWEA Map Skills testing, for Reading, Language, and Math. This can be used independently, or as a whole group review. Questions are worded similarly to the NWEA Map test, so that students become familiar with the academic vocabulary used.

A quick and targeted daily review of essential skills tested by NWEA MAP. Language is targeted and focused so that students will become familiar with both the format of the questions, as well as the testing language. Critical thinking skills, basic computation, proofreading, and reading for comprehension are just some of the skills covered in this review. A short and visual powerpoint that gives a visual image of each selected vocabulary word from Treasures Unit 1- Dear Juno. I have used this in my classroom as a springboard for the daily vocabulary activities, as a review for my EL students, and as a quick refresher once the story is completed. Each word has a powerful visual that could lead to great class discussions about each word! As an added bonus, you could always print each slide as a vocabulary flashcard for review games!
