About the store
I am a teacher in Burbank, CA. I have worked with Title I, SDAIE, ELD, and other "at-risk" students, as well as Gifted and general education students. As a former middle school teacher, I have a good idea of how to provide rigorous, next generation learning materials for younger students.

Ancient Civilizations Timeline

Funny how kids think the events of Mesopotamia "happened first," then the events of Egypt "happened next." When they read from their history textbook, students seem to have difficulty understanding that events occurred at around the same time. Use this timeline to help illustrate what happened when in all the ancient civilizations studied in 6th grade.

Experience

I am a teacher in Burbank, CA. I have worked with Title I, SDAIE, ELD, and other "at-risk" students, as well as Gifted and general education students. As a former middle school teacher, I have a good idea of how to provide rigorous, next generation learning materials for younger students.

Teaching style

I have had a lot of success by teaching students using things they know and love. I feel that my teaching is very student-centered. I use a variety of techniques in my classroom that have really helped me reach my students where they are. Above all, I love to have fun and I think that shows in everything I do as a teacher.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Masonic Middle School Teacher of the Year, 2013

My own education history

I attended the University of California, Davis where I graduated with Highest Honors in English. My minor was history. I currently hold a Single Subject credential in English and a Multiple Subject credential as well. I attended Cal State Long Beach for my teaching credential, but since I am a lifelong learner, I expect to continue my education.
