About the store
I knew at a very young age that teaching was the path I wanted to take in life. I started by being a mother's helper, moved into babysitting, served as a camp counselor, and went to undergrad for elementary education. I have been teaching in the public school system for the past seven years. I taught fourth grade for five years and have been in third for two years.

Notice and Wonder Recording Sheet

This is a great tool to use when using the Notice and Wonder strategy to solve word problems in Math!

Growth Mindset 3,2,1 Reflection

3,2,1 reflection to help students develop a growth mindset. I use this weekly for my Math students. I collect the papers and at the end of the year make them into individual packets so students are able to see where they started and the progress they made.

About the store

Experience

I knew at a very young age that teaching was the path I wanted to take in life. I started by being a mother's helper, moved into babysitting, served as a camp counselor, and went to undergrad for elementary education. I have been teaching in the public school system for the past seven years. I taught fourth grade for five years and have been in third for two years.

Teaching style

I believe in connecting the content being taught to real-world situations. Students should know the ‘why’ behind their lessons, and should never be afraid to ask “Why am I learning this? Why should it be important to me?” It’s important that the students discover the ‘why’ on their own. I provide students with opportunities to make the connections and serve as a facilitator to promote a strong classroom discussion for students to realize the ‘ah-ha!’ moment. Understanding the ‘why’ behind concepts promote students who are engaged, excited and ready to learn.
