Hello and welcome!
I'm Thomas Pitts, an educator with nearly 20 years of primary teaching experience and a passion for creating engaging, high-quality learning resources.
Throughout my teaching career, I worked across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, developing particular expertise in mathematics, computing, music, and curriculum development. Alongside classroom teaching, I supported schools and teachers in improving mathematics teaching and pupil outcomes, helping to develop effective and engaging approaches to learning.
Music has always been an important part of my life, both professionally and personally. In addition to teaching music in school, I am an active musician and conductor, and I created MusicOfTheDay.co.uk to help make classical music, composers, and musical history more accessible to learners of all ages. Many of the music resources in this store are inspired by that project and are designed to help teachers bring music into the classroom with confidence.
The resources I create are rooted in real classroom experience. My aim is simple: to save teachers time while providing pupils with meaningful, engaging learning opportunities. Whether you're looking for music activities, reading comprehensions, maths practice, or curriculum enrichment resources, everything here has been created with practicality, clarity, and educational value in mind.

Teaching style
My teaching philosophy has always been centred on engagement, understanding, and making learning accessible to all pupils. I believe children learn best when they are challenged appropriately, encouraged to think deeply, and given opportunities to make meaningful connections between ideas.
Whether creating maths, music, computing, or cross-curricular resources, my aim is to provide activities that are practical, engaging, and easy for teachers to use while supporting high-quality learning in the classroom.
Awards & shining teacher moments
Some of my proudest professional achievements include supporting schools and teachers as a Maths Mastery Specialist, helping to develop effective mathematics teaching and improve outcomes for pupils across Yorkshire.
Beyond the classroom, I have served as a school governor, supported curriculum development, and continued to work with schools and educators nationally. Seeing pupils grow in confidence, develop a love of learning, and achieve beyond their own expectations has always been the most rewarding part of teaching.

My professional development has included specialist training in mathematics education and classroom practice, alongside nearly two decades of experience teaching across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Alongside music resources, I continue to develop practical teaching materials based on my classroom experience, particularly in mathematics and primary education.
