Food Truck Project Based Learning Unit- Ratios, Proportions, Percents
This is an entire ratios, proportions, and percentages unit designed around the task of running a food truck. Students will pick menu items either via research or from carefully selected recipes then learn how to determine the cost to make those items. They will decide on price points and calculate the percent profit from those items. They will also create a scale drawing of their food truck and develop their interpersonal skills as they collaborate with their group. This project is designed to

Teaching style
I love a good inquiry lesson but understand the importance of practice to commit to memory. I am always looking for new ways to bring in student interest. I believe the best teachers are flexible and we shouldn't be using the same tasks year after year. We need to be malleable!
